What Is TEE?
  1. Subaccounts
  2. /
  3. Create/Delete subaccounts

Create/Delete subaccounts

Creating and deleting subaccounts is handled entirely from a user's main account. Each Polyester account can have unlimited subaccounts.

Creating a subaccount

subaccounts are created from the subaccounts page of the dashboard on a user's main account.

1
Click ‘Create subaccount ’ in the upper right.
2
Assign a label to identify the subaccount.
3
Click ‘Create subaccount ’ again to confirm.

When a subaccount is created, a new smart wallet is generated and assigned to it. The wallet is flagged on-chain as a subaccount and operates independently from other subaccounts attached to the user's main account.

New subaccounts are created with a default set of permissions. Review and adjust permissions before trading, transferring funds, or inviting members.

Rename a subaccount
Users can change a subaccount’s label at any time. From the subaccount’s dedicated page, click the ‘pencil icon’ next to the subaccount name and update the label.

Switching Between subaccounts

The subaccounts page displays a table of all subaccounts associated with a user's main account.

From this table, users can view basic information, status, and use quick actions directly from the row.

Clicking a subaccount row opens its dedicated subaccount page, where users can:

  • View assets and balances
  • Edit permissions
  • Create and manage API keys
  • Invite members and assign roles
  • Review subaccount activity

To return to the main account, use the ‘left arrow’ icon next to the subaccount name at the top of the page.

Deleting a subaccount

subaccounts can be deleted from either the subaccount table or the dedicated subaccount page.

To delete: Open the vertical ellipsis menu and select ‘Delete’.

Deletion Is Permanent
A confirmation modal will appear requiring the user to confirm the action and type the name of the subaccount before deletion is completed.
