Transfer Funds

Transfers on Polyester move uAssets inside the Polyester Exchange between different accounts and products. Transfers are immediate and fee-free.

Because funding, trading, lending, and subaccounts all live within the same exchange system, uAssets can move between them without withdrawing, bridging, or re-depositing.

Accounts That Users Can Transfer Between

Users can transfer funds between all areas of the exchange:

  • Funding Account ↔ Unified Trading Account Move assets into the Unified Trading Account to place orders, or back to the Funding Account when finished.
  • Funding Account ↔ Lending Supply assets to lending pools or transfer supplied assets back to the Funding Account.
  • Unified Trading Account ↔ Lending Move unreserved trading balances into lending, or transfer supplied assets from lending directly to the Unified Trading Account.
  • Main Account ↔ subaccounts A user's main account controls all funds and can transfer assets into or out of subaccounts. subaccounts operate on isolated balances and are subject to their own permissions and member roles.
Transfers Are Always Public
All transfers within Polyester are publicly visible. Whether assets move across on-chain contracts (Funding, Trading, Lending) or internally within the Unified Trading Contract (including subaccount transfers), each movement is published and viewable on Polyester Scan with a transaction ID. Deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers are always transparent and auditable.

How to Transfer Funds

Every transfer is a From → To move between two accounts. Pick the route below that matches what you want to do, then expand the direction.

Funding Account ↔ Unified Trading Account

Move funds into the Unified Trading Account to place orders. There are two ways to open the transfer modal:

  • Hover ‘Assets’ in the header and click ‘Transfer’ next to ‘Funding Account’, or
  • Hover ‘Your Wallet’ in the header → open the dashboard → click Funding Account in the left sidebar.

Then:

  1. Confirm ‘From’ is Funding Account and ‘To’ is Unified Trading
  2. Select the asset and amount using the input field, percentage slider, or ‘max’ button
  3. Click ‘Transfer to Unified Trading’

Move funds back out of trading. There are two ways to open the transfer modal:

  • Hover ‘Assets’ in the header and click ‘Transfer’ next to ‘Trading Account’, or
  • Hover ‘Your Wallet’ in the header → open the dashboard → click Unified Trading in the left sidebar.

Then:

  1. Confirm ‘From’ is Unified Trading and ‘To’ is Funding Account
  2. Select the asset and amount using the input field, percentage slider, or ‘max’ button
  3. Click ‘Transfer to Funding Account’

Only unreserved funds can leave the Unified Trading Account — see Understanding Unavailable Balances.

Lending Supply Pools

There is no standalone lending account — transferring to or from lending means joining or leaving a supply pool. The steps are the same whether your funds come from (or return to) the Funding Account or the Unified Trading Account; you just pick that account inside the flow.

  1. Visit Lending to view available supply pools and their APYs
  2. Click ‘Lend’ on the desired pool
  3. Confirm the asset being supplied
  4. Select Funding Account or Unified Trading Account as the source
  5. Enter the amount to supply and review the APY impact
  6. Click ‘Lend X’ to confirm

Only unreserved funds can be supplied from the Unified Trading Account — see Understanding Unavailable Balances. See the Lending page for details.

  1. Visit Lending to view the pools you are actively supplying
  2. Click ‘Remove Supply’ on the pool you want to exit
  3. Confirm the asset being removed
  4. Select Funding Account or Unified Trading Account as the destination
  5. Enter the amount to remove
  6. Click ‘Remove X’ to confirm

Funds are only removable if they are not marked as collateral and removing them keeps your account health above the liquidation threshold. See the Lending page for details.

Main Account ↔ subaccounts

Open these transfers from the dashboard: hover ‘Your Wallet’ in the header → open the dashboard → click subaccounts in the left sidebar.

Fund a subaccount from your Funding Account or unreserved Unified Trading balances.

  1. Click ‘transfer’ next to the subaccount you want to fund
  2. Confirm ‘From’ is Funding Account or Unified Trading Account and ‘To’ is the selected subaccount
  3. Select the asset and amount using the input field, percentage slider, or ‘max’ button
  4. Click ‘Transfer to subaccount’

Only unreserved funds can move from the Unified Trading Account — see Understanding Unavailable Balances.

Pull funds back from a subaccount’s Funding Account or unreserved Unified Trading balances.

  1. Click ‘transfer’ next to the subaccount you want to remove funds from
  2. Confirm ‘From’ is the selected subaccount and ‘To’ is Funding Account or Unified Trading Account (use the double-arrow icon to reverse direction)
  3. Select the asset and amount using the input field, percentage slider, or ‘max’ button
  4. Click ‘Transfer to Funding Account’ or ‘Transfer to Unified Trading Account’

Only unreserved funds can move from a subaccount’s Unified Trading Account — see Understanding Unavailable Balances.

Understanding Unavailable Balances

Some balances cannot be transferred because they are currently in use and will not appear in transfer flows.

Common examples:

  • Funds reserved for open trading orders
    • To make available: cancel or close the open orders to release the reserved funds
  • Assets used as lending collateral If assets are supporting an active loan and keeping the user's account above the liquidation threshold, they cannot be transferred. To make them available, they can:
    1. Repay part or all of their loan to reduce required collateral
    2. Add a different asset as collateral to improve their account health

Fees and Gas

Transfers are fee-free.

All transfers occur on Polyester Chain, and Polyester sponsors gas costs. Users do not need to hold any native gas token to move funds between accounts or products.

See the Gas Abstraction page for details.
