Notifications

Notifications on Polyester keep users informed about activity across trading, lending, wallet actions, security, and system updates. Notification preferences are configurable and sync across devices.

Where Notifications Appear

Notifications appear in three places:

Bell Menu (Header) Hover the bell icon on the right side of the header to view recent notifications in real time. The bell menu includes quick category tabs to filter notifications, a link to the notifications page, and a settings cog to change notification display position.

Dashboard Notifications Page The dashboard provides a full historical view of a user's notifications, allowing them to review past activity across all categories.

External Channels Depending on a user's settings, notifications can also be delivered via browser push notifications, and email.

Notification Settings

The Settings → Notifications page is where users control how notifications behave.

From here, users can show or hide the unread badge on the bell icon, persist critical alerts until manually dismissed, enable or disable auto-dismiss timing, toggle notification sounds (configured in Audio settings), choose delivery channels (in-app, push, email), and select exactly which events trigger notifications.

All notification preferences are saved to a user's account and synced across devices.

Notification Categories

Notifications are grouped into clear categories to fine-tune signal versus noise. Each category can be expanded or collapsed in the UI.

Quick Settings - All vs Essential vs Custom
Use these buttons to quickly apply presets to Polyester notifications. All enables every notification. Essential enables high-signal events such as withdrawals, liquidations, and security-related actions and turns off the rest. Custom puts the user in full control of what is enabled, disabled, and where they appear. Changing any settings will automatically swap to Custom.
